On October 11-13 this year in Almaty, on the basis of the International University of Information Technologies, an international conference and the final meeting of the participants of the KUTEL project "Universities of Kazakhstan for improving quality assurance processes in teaching using new technologies" took place, which was attended by project researchers from A. Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the Research Institute of Regional Development N.S. Salikova and Head of the Center for Planning and Management of the Educational Process E.P. Igonina. At this meeting, the participants considered the current directions of the development of the educational process in Kazakhstan. They discussed the processes of reforming and modernizing higher education through the introduction of a national system for ensuring the quality of education using technology (TEL). Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the Research Institute of Regional Development of A. Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University Natalya Semyonovna Salikova made a report on the topic "E-learning: an overview of the state, challenges and problems of assessing the quality of education" at the conference. The project contributes to the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan program in terms of motivating universities to improve education using ICT, and also aims to ensure the quality of the entire educational process. Thanks to the structured strategy of the project, during three years of work on it, various trainings were conducted on the topic of teaching and implementing TEL, an analysis of the state of the quality of education in the country's universities was carried out, and training courses were developed and mastered to achieve the quality of education. At the seminars after each module, the participants widely discussed the issues of modernization and reform of teaching methods. To date, the KUTEL project has been able to successfully complete all the tasks and has come to its completion.
